Make a difference

As an individual, you can make a difference to help improve cycling facilities in Western Australia:
  • Join a BUG (Bicycle User Group).
  • Report a cycle hazard.
  • Talk to or write to the manager of your local shopping centre about providing better bicycle parking. You can print out a copy of the BTA Quick Guide to Bicycle Parking and take it with you.
  • Alert us about changes to your local cycling facilities so that we can give feedback to the responsible authorities
  • Take part in our campaigns through having your say online, on talk back radio, letters to the editor and by writing to the key decision makers
  • Join the Sustainable Transport Coalition
  • Volunteer if you have time or skills you are willing to share with us.

Sometimes we conduct 'saddle surveys' where we need people to cycle around checking cycling facilities and signage. You can nominate how much you can handle - every little bit helps.

We welcome assistance for events and if you have any professional skills you are willing to share please let us know.
